Hola Daniel, greetings from Greece.
Transfer data from the DBF to MySQL base and go further,
MySQL is a solid base that can be accessed over the Web, via desktop applications,
DBF is good for local requirements, the increasing demands better data in the database
+1 to Dragan's answer
You will have to do more work at first by migrating your data to MySql but in the long run you will gain a lot.
Even the MySql community server edition which is free, can handle insane amounts of data and users.
As Dragan said internet connectivity, network access is really simple to do with MySql. Transactions, triggers, custom functions make a programmer's life so much easier.
Plus HMG seems to be working very good with MySql so far. Also lots of us already use MySql with HMG and we could give you some help.
Best Regards
Vagelis
