Hello Everybody,

This is Swapan Das from Calcutta (now officially known as Kolkata), India.

In my organisation I'm not getting the environment to work on xHarbour & HMG. But I've to hone my Clipper skills and a mere migration to xHarbour/Harbour console platform will not do. Sudip, a member of this forum has suggested me HMG as the GUI tool to test with. Hope in the coming days I'll take some time out from my ususal routine work, and devote time in learning HMG.

There's lot to discuss, but first let me get down to the field......

Hi Swapan,

Happy to see you here. Start writing programs with HMG right now! You can learn a language only by writing your own codes and taking advice from others!

One thing more. We are all in a learning process. In this process we all face "stopping stones". We can reach our destination only if we can transfer those "stopping stones" into "stepping stones".

So, DO start writing your own program with HMG (may be a very little form) and don't hesitate to send to the forum. You will surely be benefited from starting day
