China - a country not a stranger to my family. My granpas and grandmas, dad and mum, their brothers and sisters lived in Harbin and Shanghai from 1920 to 1947. They wasn't "anti-communists" - simple workers, engineers, musicians... but revolutions, wars etc did it with them. It was "path of sorrow and expectations of return"... If you (and community) wants - I'll upload some old photos of "Russian China" from my family's archieve (to here or other place).
For example - one photo:
1927, Harbin. Upper line left to right: grandma's sister Elena, grandma Zinaida, grandpa Alexey (he and me are very similar); down line left to right: uncle Vladimir, mum (Valentina; very similar with my Masha), uncle Vitaliy.
