Hi Maestro

In my humble opinion, please don't continue !

Because first, you aren't a warrior, you are a peace-man.

Second, any serious HMG user can see REAL differences (or can examine); for others, understanding is very difficult. For who are choose darkness, any clarifications can't be useful.

Nonetheless it's your decision.

With my best regards

Yes, I'm a peaceful man, but sometimes, even peaceful men must fight to defend themselves.

I respect. Self defending is a human right.

But there is another reality : if you are not sure beating down, don't fist :)

I've tried both versions of hmg at the beginning of using harbour.
I found official hmg more useful for me.
I'm with you, Roberto!

I appreciate the knowledge of Grigori, but, I think there is no place for his agigation here.

Hello Brother Sudip

Me too, I respect you. You know, my English is bad. But what I think that my speech is clear as soon as possible. Please don't take personal, this is a public approach.

In my humble opinion, Official and extended are two faces of the same good coin.
The guys in extended team try to keep compatibility with official and this is good, but on the other hand they do not hesitate to introduce "new features",
just because somebody asked for it to solve some specific problem. This is a rather dangerous practice and undermines the compatibility . They have added useful extensions and in the same time, perhaps have put in the project some ambiguous usability components like propsheet lib. for example. On the other side, HMG official, after a long time of inactivity, seems to have been entered into a new creative phase, thanks to hard and very quality work by its creator Roberto Lopez. I do respect his points and read carefully his posts, regarding programming issues in general and minigui particularly.
To be honest i do not understand the tension that is produced when "official" and "extended" users try to exchange opinions. For me the subject of such discussions should not be "which is better". Both are good, both have place for enhancements and need corrections. And the next step for minigui is to become multi-platform. That would make it a Next Generation GUI and a real success in the highly promising Harbour land.

regards,

(P.S. Fortunately, we live in a full-colored world! Things are not just black/white, never was, never will be. . )
