IDE 3.0 TEST XIIg

Post by Roberto Lopez »

Hi All,

Well... some dreams come true today... :)

This release features a new table manager.

You can create, modify structure, browse and edit tables from project manager now.

I've also reorganized project menu and added some options. The most important is 'Import File'. It allows import program modules, tables, images, video and audio files to the project folder.

There is a lot of new code here now, so, be careful and backup your files before play with this release.

Lots of new user messages were added, so, please, when possible, post updated language files on this thread (TIA).

Please, report any problem you found.

Enjoy!

Master,
I´ve add in attachment the new file PtBR.LNG for HMG-IDE.
The new feature about tables is amazing... i still testing.

I can say two suggestions?!

1-)Why HMG IDE don´t work with folders system in your project?!
EX:
When anybody create a project on HMG-IDE in the folder of this project the HMG must with this structure of subfolders

C:\MyProject\Tables (or DBF)
C:\MyProject\Res
C:\MyProject\Modules (or Source, or PRG)
C:\MyProject\FMG (or Forms)
I think that this style would be better for manegament of a BIG project.

2-) If possible you can add a item on menu "View" something like "Project Folder" (or a hot key), when clicked, the folder of project can be opened for explorer.

Are only suggestions, please forgive me if i´m saying stupid things.

Sorry my bad english, and congratulation, once again, for your amazing work.

My best regards,

Hello Master Roberto,
Thanks a lot for this beautiful addition. :)
If I am not wrong, there is no "Add Module" item in Project menu. It's not at all a serious problem, because we can always edit .hbp file with any text editor :)
I checked new table creation feature. Excellent :)
With best regards.

Thanks a lot for this version Roberto.

Sudip, to add a project, we have to use the new import feature, I think. :)
East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.
...the possibilities are endless.

I've already considered that.

I want to give first to 3.0 IDE its final shape, then, optimize and work on details.

The subfolders use, brings various chalenges that should be worked out to give to the user a good experience.

Yes. It can be done and its a good idea.
