Re: ViewError - HMG building utility
Rajeev,
This your HMG version 3.4.3 has already all the patches be applied ?
Since Threads HMG version, Main Windows are not required...
When you talk about run your latest build (error in your compilation), you refer to any compilation of "your project" or a compilation of ViewError itself ? (I'm confussed now).
Because this error doesn't happen here...

Hi Pablo
I have applied both the patches.
I have compiled viewError.prg dt 4/4/17 time 3:22 pm.
The error is produced by viewError program. This error screen does not come when I compile wthout viewError(though I get different errors)

Re: ViewError - HMG building utility
Hello Rajeev,
This your compilation date/time is ahead of last release. How It could ?
Because I published at 4:56 pm.
So it could never be at this time the due the same ViewError we talking about... even thinking in time zone difference (Brazil to India). India is ahead of the time zone with Brazil. I am really confused.
This is coming from ShowErrorLog (line # 128) and this function attended errors at PRG with NO line number.
So It's means you are not using the last ViewError version. Now it's version # 2.6.

Please check (by clicking at Up_arrow) the time I've posted the message when I wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2017 7:56 pm

May you attach the error file ?(though I get different errors)

Re: ViewError - HMG building utility
We do not understand each other at all.I have downloaded the source and exe file from your post dt Tue Apr 04, 2017 7:56 pm.
The date and time(modified) of ViewError.prg is 4/4/17 and 3.22 pm.
See you table according what you said. So tell me what is wrong in this time/hours:
Now we know what the error is about hbnf. Always the main reason is: the given poor info...hbmk2[tbtally]: Warning: Unknown directive: 'libs = hbnf' in
I prepare this project, same name, same folder, and is quite empty program but it serves enough for compiling.
Take this I try to compile:
Certainly, the compiling error did not make happen. Am I right ?
No compilation errors ? Do you want to know where is your error in
Now lets return to VoewError interests...
You say that ViewError does not work for you...
I do not know where did you mistake:
- Last version ViewError used
- At ViewError installation
- if you changed something and you have not informed us yet...

Re: ViewError - HMG building utility
Hi Pablo
* Your ViewError.prg has date 4/4/17 and time 3:22 pm
Your VieWrror.exe has date 4/4/17 and time 4:56 pm
Your post which contains the above two is 4/4/17 and time 7:56 pm
which is all perfectly logical and correct. There is no confusion at all.
I have downloaded the ViewError.prg and ViewError.exe mentioned in your post dated 4/4/17 at 7:56 pm. That is the latest viewError prg and exe you have posted and I have used.
Why it doesn't compile on my win 7 professional 32 bits is the problem. Could it be that my win 7/laptop/hmg3.4.3 has some problem ?
I cannot think of any other reason.

So what according to you is the mistake I am making in using hbnf ?
Thanks

Re: ViewError - HMG building utility
Now I understand Rajeev. But sorry to say: very confusing... and sorry to say again: I need to understand. That's so.
I have not English in my mother language.
So, if you need to be good understanding IMO you need to be more clear.
I would it write in this way:
"I tried to compile ViewError (last version .. dated 4/4 / 2017-3: 22h PM) and during its compiling process with error:
<Describe the compiling error>"
For me it is not clear yet when you are mentioning:
"it doesn't compile"
In this way, are you referring to:

For me it is not clear yet when you are mentioning:
"it doesn't compile"
In this way, are you referring to:
- Can not compile ViewError project ?
- Can not compile any project (with error on compiling) and not displaying the error at ViewError... ?
Try to install 3.4.4. Why not ? But please, do not change any HMG file (not change Build.bat, let it original one). After installed, re-run ViewError where is located (where is stored) and check: "My favorite editor" (check for full path and name) and where "ViewError installed at" is being located. That's so.Could it be that my win 7/laptop/hmg3.4.3 has some problem ?
