Hola Dany y Louis:

Ya encontre el post.- El alternativo Reader es Sumatra.-
Ya lo descargue, y voy a intentar instalarlo en una maquina sin Adobe.-
Revise el foro de Delphi club, y los problemas con AR 11 son muy frecuentes incluso con las versiones anteriores de Win, p. ej. desde XP en adelante.- Ee su mayoría se advierte conflicto por subsistencia de trazos de anteriores versiones de AR, y en todos los casos por tener activa la función de actualizaciones automáticas.-
Al parecer nunca padecí esos inconvenientes porque no dejo que me actualice AR en forma automática, solo a mi requerimiento.-
Es todo un tema.- Seguire investigandolo.

Estimados EduardoLuis y Daniel

Ya funcionó

Os cuento lo que hice, desinstalé el AR versión 11 e instalé el AR versión 8.1.0 (que por ahí tenía guardadito el instalador del año 2007), todo esto en Windows 7 professional ... la que hasta ayer tenía en el pc era AR versión 10

El ejemplo de EduardoLuis tampoco funcionaba, pero con el AR versión 8 ahora sí ... claro que abre otra pantalla, ya que invoca con EXECUTE al que abre los PDF directamente, igual está muy bien

Entonces como decía Daniel, hay un conflicto entre Win 7 y el Adobe Reader me imagino que desde la version 9, ahora bien, no he hecho la prueba en casa con Win XP y AR superior a 8 ... creo que mejor lo dejo así

Como siempre, muy agradecido por sus amables respuestas.

Ah y el ejemplo de Calimero, es CORRECTO ! no hay error !

Hi Friends:

This weekend i've testing different version of AR under Win XP, 7 and 8.1, all of them 32 bits.-
For my test, i use a develope system i've made with HMG that produce a PDF that later will be opened by the same program.-
With AR till version 9 there was not trouble, but since 10 to last version, by using
EXECUTE FILE NNN.PDF, the result: don't initiate AR.-
Do discard conflict between HMG developements and Win 7 / 8.1, i try
EXCECUTE FILE NNN.XLS, and works ok.-
I'll continue testing, till discover where is the conflict.-

I've tried all different ways.- The behaviour of AR 11 under Win 7 / 8 have's nocense.-
Certainly there is a bugg, where, i don't know yet, perhaps on AR.-
I've bought Acrobat 9 some time ago, with corresponding license.- I wrote Adobe help forums but they don't have any idea; they says "it must work".-
Some time ago, Rathi wrote suggest a freeware option to Adobe Reader: Sumatra.-
I've download it today, an Master Rathi was right: works fine, easy, & quickly, under XP, Win 7, and last Win 8.- I tested my HMG samples that generates PDF and execute them using EXCECUTE FILE NNN.PDF, and really WORKS.-
I think that AR 11 incompatibility it's an additional trouble when we develope applications that uses PDF outputs.- With these alternative (Sumatra), i think problem is solved.-
Although, i'll continue investigating AR 11 under Win 7 / 8 till reach a reasonable solution.-

I think the ability to use Acrobat Reader in new versions from AR9 is zero., if one looks Acropdf.pdf.1 that detail is very many years ago that has dragged AR.
simply need to be migrated to other free applications and set aside an application that is not properly supported by the creative company

Hola Luis Eduardo: Creo que la capacidad de utilizar Acrobat Reader en las nuevas versiones de AR9 es cero, si uno mira Acropdf.pdf.1 ese detalle es muy hace muchos años que se arrastra AR sólo tendrá que migrar a otras aplicaciones gratuitas.. y dejar de lado una aplicación que no está debidamente apoyado por la empresa creadora
