Cdx vs Ntx

Post by mol »

Hi!
I'm interesting if somebody examined efficiency of ntx vs cdx index files?
Now, I'm using Cdx, but with every ordbag in different file.
Is it better or worse than keeping ordbags in one file?
What's your opinion?

Hi!
Since I abandoned ntx index files, my problems gone!!, with cdx my apps started to work much much faster, since there I forgot what corrupt index means.
I'm using predictive search directly at browsing time, for dbfs with 5000 products, 1000 clients and 70000 regs of invoicing content, working on P4 pcs, 1gb ram and 5 points of sales with out performance problems. I know that for a lot of developers this is just a few of records, but for me here in Uruguay is an standard for regular size business.
I can send you my prgs or exec apps, wrote on harbour, I'm working adding similar functions in my hmg apps, that I'm recently adopting.
hope it helps!! sorry if my english has errors.

Well, I think I did't answer your question: ordbags in one file will be much better.
