Definitively not.

At first, as I've said, I've installed Windows 98 ORIGINAL (first, not SE) version and the print preview samples works fine.

Besides that, your screenshot shows that the buttons are blank too (images not shown) and button images are bitmaps (.bmp files).

My opinion is that your Win98 installation was damaged for the installation of some product. This is very common in 98, in fact it happens on Vista too )

If you are going to reinstall, try to do it with the newer Windows version that your hardware can support (it is always better) but, more important, BE VERY CAREFUL with products that you are going to install on that machine.

I just reinstalled win98 SE and the problem has disappeared. It works perfect.
