Tamaño DBF-DBT / Size DBF-DBT

Post by JALMAG » Sat Nov 09, 2013 10:10 am

Hola amigos, creo que no está documentado el tamaño de los archivos DBF-DBT-CDX (NTX) que puede gestionar Harbour, me refiero a si existe un tamaño a partir del cual se hace difícil su gestión. ¿Alguien lo sabe?

Muchas gracias

Hello friends, I think it is documented DBF file sizes-DBT-CDX (NTX) that can handle Harbour, I mean if there is a size at which it becomes difficult to manage. Does anyone know?

Best regards

Hola Jalmag

If you are about size of file in bytes on disk; you can determine size of ANY file by FILESIZE() function;

you can look at here for details.

Thanks master esgici, but the data I want, is the maximum size that can be managed (x) Harbour no problems with the file. 2Gb o more?

OK, you are about size limits; I missed can handle clause, sorry :(

Harbour file size limits are :
  • Max record size: 2^16-1 = 65535 byts ( 64 MB )
    Max number of recors : 2^32-1 = 4,294,967,295
    Max .dbf file size : 2^48 = 256 TB

Max DBT memo file size : 2 TB
Max FPT memo file size : 256 GB
Max SMT memo file size : 128 GB

Max NTX file size (standard) : 4GB
Max NTX file size (incresead ) : 4TB

Max CDX file size : 4GB
For more info please look at ### NATIVE RDDs ### section in Harbour\doc\xhb-diff.txt .
