A "Formal" proposal.

Post by Roberto Lopez »

Hi All,

When Rathinagiri commented to me the idea about this forum, I feel honored, but at the same time I felt that perhaps could not be enough interest in my HMG version.

But the facts were very clear. More than 70 subscribers in some weeks. This is very good, since that you don't need to register to read the forum messages.

Another surprise, was the impulse and motivation of various of you, about creating enhancements for HMG and share your code with us.

Perhaps, I could help a little on that.

We could create a library with the code published in the form, and document it.

All my free time is dedicated to HMG and IDE maintenance, so I can't involve personally in the development of this library.

But I can help in some ways that could be useful for you.

I could assist (when the code refers to new properties, methods or completely new controls) in adapt it to user components interface.
I could help adding autodetection of the library in the IDE and build batch files too, for easy use.

It is just an idea. This is on your hands now.

Regards,

Roberto.
Regards/Saludos,

Roberto

Estimado Roberto,
Cordialmente
Luis Vásquez.

Dear Roberto,
I'm glad you've regained faith in your project and the people that make up this community, we needed to make contact with people to see that many still are and will continue to add.
It is a very good idea to create a library with new controls for inclusion in the ide.
For that could be used templates controls as a new file. Ini in which they can put the properties, methods and events for each control.
To determine which are new controls can create a file index of checks and from there take. Ini to read them.
The program intermediate responsible for the data to deliver idea could read these files and deliver data in an array.
It's an idea.
It seems to me too enthusiastically, jejejeje, but the idea is that I liked.
I scored to support this initiative.
Sincerely
Luis Vasquez

Mi propuesta no llega tan lejos :)

Saludos,

Roberto.

It is perhaps a nice idea. Thanks a lot. We shall join our hands together.
East or West HMG is the Best.
South or North HMG is worth.
...the possibilities are endless.

As a open source project, we need a contrib-lib no doubt.

Management of this lib must be entirely under your authority, I think.

Hi esgici,
That project remained buried for quite some time. With so many projects flying around HMG and the lack of time decided to leave mine.

Luis Vasquez.

As I've just said in the original message:

"It is just an idea. This is on your hands now"

I could give to developers, some advice and guidance if required, (specially in 'user components', but I can't involve as a full developer of it.

Regards,

Roberto.

Does Luis Vasquez's "GridADO" may be a good starting point ?
