I, too, am from just north of London: Scotland!
(On that basis, you could be anywhere from Hendon to Newcastle!)

I made a similar programming leap in March, and after a lot of the hiccups and the learning curve that go with learning any "new" product, I was soon turning clunky old programs and wish-lists into things that get wows rather than raised eyebrows.

Once you get the hang of it, HMG is simply amazing, and the support from other users here is incredible! Although HMG includes a whole lot of really complex stuff and possibilities that I doubt that I'll ever use, don't be daunted; you'll soon transform that old wood and canvass biplane into a Concorde/Dreamliner!
