My name is Marco Abbarchi, I'm italian and I live in Turin
I'm sorry for my poor english.
I was a clipper summer 87 programmer during years 1989 - 1994. I did programs for shops and stores.
After,  my life took me  away from programming and I thought clipper was dead. But now, Three weeks ago, I've seen the site of harbour and your forum.
I read hundreds of hmg forum posts and now I'm studying HMG hoping this is the best choice for me.( I've decided between harbour, xharbour,Hmg 3 and hmg 4)
I'd want to port my old programs ( still running) under windows  then I'd want to continue to programming , (this is my dream ) . I'm lucky 'cause my old clients often ask me to continue in this way.
So I'd want to became a member of your forum and learn all I can and then in the future to contribute.
Thanks in advance to all

Hi Marco ! Welcome from Brasil/Argentina !

My best advise now that your starting with Harbour/MiniGui is to read this article that it helped me too much at my begining: http://raumi75.jimdo.com/2010/02/27/fro ... #permalink
I have traslated to portuguese and make my own compilation at brasilian forum: http://www.pctoledo.com.br/forum/viewto ... 543#p66474 please download it a take some minutes to translate to italian and read it. My advice is you to start in Hmg.3.0.35 according that instructions. You will see how quite easy to convert your applications in 32 bits.

Good luck and please do not hesite to make questions here, we will help you !
