Hello,

I want to present you a next my program - FreeRAM.
It is a skinable application by HMG :)

FreeRAM is a free memory management program
designed for Windows 9x/ME/NT/2000/XP.
This is done by forcing Windows to remove
all the data that is not currently needed
from the memory. It can be used manually or
automatically.

Enjoy!

Hello Grigory,

Thanks a lot (again and again :) ) for this app :)

But when I tried to run it, I got following errors:

Code: Select all

Date: 11/25/09 Time: 20:36:50
Error BASE/1099 Argument error: STR

Called from STR(0)
Called from CPUUSAGE(2313)
Called from CREATESKINEDFORM(188)
Called from (b)MAIN(128)
Called from _PROCESSINITPROCEDURE(1453)
Called from _ACTIVATEWINDOW(1311)
Called from MAIN(142)
I my system has XP SP2 with AVAST antivirus and Outpost Firewall.

BTW, I created a special Folder in my Harddisk named "GrigoryFilatov" to store your utilities :)

With best regards.

Sudip

Hi Grigory!
I use your FreeRam (2 years or more) on my Win98 - small, simple but useful and helpful thing. :)

Hello Sudip,

Thanks a lot for your bugreport!

You should switch to ON the system monitoring (default is ON) for correct working of the FreeRAM memory manager.

Sorry for any inconvenience!

Roberto,

I've uploaded an updated version at the first post. It works smoothly now at WinXP (CPU usage counter was disabled).
Please be so kind to revise this program at Vista/Se7en 8-)

Thanks in advance :!:

I've made the question because I've got the same error as Sudip on Win7. I'll try to find a way to configure the system to make it work.

Hello Grigory,

Thanks a lot. Now the updated version works :)

I am very PROUD that this type of system utilities can be created with HMG Official / HMG Extended :)

With best regards.

It runs now, but the help is not working, since in Vista+ systems the .hlp format is not supported.

Perhaps, you should move to a more universal format for help, like HTML or PDF.

MS's 'programmed obsolescence' can be a big problem...
