Rathi,

In order to make it work I think the applications must be multilingual OR at least in English.
So we have to create some kind of template to make it a standard.
We also need to make a SQL database table with all hardcoded messages, descriptions etc. which is downloaded to a correponding DBF file along with the application.

Then we need an application to maintain it. This application must be delivered to all persons involved, in order to add or adjust messages, descriptions etc.

What do you think?

Serge

This is a great idea!

I'm sure that many of us, had developed custom apps, not suitable for general use, but, we can modify them to be published. This way, they can have a new life.

Regarding commercialization, posibilites are endless.

You could offer your software at no charge, but as a service. In the case that app be based on MySql, you could offer database hosting along support.

Optionally , additionally to HMG desktop client, your apps could include additional basic web clients based on HMGSCRIPT or Android clients based on HDROIDGUI for data queries or simple updates.

Harbour provides us, with all the required features to make our apps connected and modern.

Again... the posibilites are endless...

Dear Amarante,

HMG won't go for commercial now or ever!

The portal would be a place to showcase your software products/projects created using HMG so that others can buy/use them. We spend a lot of time in developing applications. Do they reach many people those who need?

Serge, I welcome your idea of standardization of our applications.

I also like your approach to include the FULL details about the whole list of applications along with every application, which won't take much space. If somebody need an application they can search from this list. This will help to spread in offline over and above our web presence.

Thank you.
