Hello to all!
I'm very happy that i found HMG and of course this forum.
My name is Bjoern, i come from Germany. I'm an IT-professional but I 'm not a programmer anymore.
I think it is over 20years ago I programmed a very individual database with dbaseII on a CP/M 3.0 system for a company. Over the years i ported this program to DOS with dbaseIII and years later I used the Clipper 5.2 compiler. After the company wanted a GUI I had a problem but I solved it with the very great Fern's Graphics Library for CA-Clipper. http://sourceforge.net/projects/fglib Do you know this also very professional freeware work?
It is working fine with Windows XP but it's still a 16bit program. It's a GUI for DOS and unfortunately not for Windows or Linux.
I never changed the core of the orginal program, only the GUI was adapted. Now I'm going to write the GUI with HMG for WIN and Linux in my leisure. I think I will ask a lot in the future. Please help me
Best regards
Bjoern
