Thanks a lot Luis,

May be same thing MS did with Foxpro to promote VB ;)

For large application may be Postgresql will be the preferred DBMS and for smaller one Sqlite.

With best regards.

I'm not so sure.

If you take a look at this:

http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/

Maybe, support for 5.0 is finished because current version is 5.1 and there is a preliminary release of the 5.5 version to download...
Regards/Saludos,

Roberto

And, here: http://downloads.mysql.com/snapshots.php

You'll find 6.0 alpha.

That does not appear to be a 'goodbye' :)

If you read carefully the article title it states: 'GoddBye to MySql 5.0' not 'GoodBye To MySql' :)

era para darle un poco más de interes al tema ...
creo que de todas maneras oracle se las arreglará para bajarle la popularidad a mysql.
ten en cuenta que al final todo esto es negocio.
saludos.

Its very difficult to guess what will be happen, since MySql is a worldwide standard, so, its 'owners' should be very careful...
