Re: SAY AND GET

I've had a look at both the links above but I'm now revealing my limited knowledge of Clipper as well as HMG/Harbour. What is the difference between REQUEST & #Include?

MsgYesNo

I'm struggling to understand how to use MsgYesNo . Can someone give me a couple of examples of how to correctly use it? Basically I want to confirm that the current record selected is to be deleted. I can't find anything in the samples and I haven't found the reference files very helpful. Regards, A...

Re: PICTALIGNMENT

PICTALIGNMENT only works with normal buttons, not with TOOLBAR buttons. I've tried it and know it doesn't work in Toolbar buttons. My question is whether there is a control that allows for alignment of picture and text in a Toolbar button. I've found nothing in the examples that show me. Regards, Alan

Re: ONCLICK question

Thanks for that. But I use "define button" and in the docs ACTION is not shown as an option. Anyway, I decided to try the same idea with "ON CLICK" and it seems to work: ONCLICK { DeleteCheck := .T. , SeekText() }.

ONCLICK question

Is it possible to have more than 1 "onclick" entry in a button? I want the button click to do 2 things.

Re: PICTALIGNMENT

Any takers on this query? Is there an answer to this without creating a graphic that contains both the picture and the text?

Re: Partial clear screen

Thanks Rathinagiri. Before sending the entire code I'll show you where this is called from. If you can't work it out from here, I'm happy to zip up the entire code and files. The code calling the procedure is: DEFINE TOOLBAR ToolBar_2 BUTTONSIZE 150,35 FLAT BORDER BOTTOM BUTTON SEARCH ; CAPTION '&Se...

Re: Partial clear screen

Okay I checked the MAIN_DEMO sample and it has some great examples and is very helpful. So I tried the option to hide part of my screen using exactly the same process from the sample but it didn't work. The sample code is: *----------------------------------------------------------------------------...

PICTALIGNMENT

I was looking through the BUTTON samples and noticed the use of PICTALIGNMENT. Something new I've learned! But where I need to align pictures and captions is in the buttons associated with the TOOLBAR. It seems PICTALIGNMENT doesn't work in TOOLBAR buttons because it wouldn't "build" when I tried it...
