Re: Button position in a grid

Ok Serge, I'll try to explain it in my poor english: the test function should only show me if I have selected the correct record from the grid, it will be replaced by a function with input dialog, this input will be appended to a new table. This table has three fields: persnr,C,4 (comes from the gri...

Re: Button position in a grid

I wrote: I have defined a button, that, when clicked closes the grid. That's what the button should do, now I've found, that actually it does nothing but make the button disappear. On key F10 does the job. I have tried to define the button outside the grid control after END WINDOW. No success Robert

Re: Button position in a grid

Hi Serge, great to hear from you.

tabx.prg is called from a main menu within a main window win_1. I will define the button outside the grid.

Thank you.

Re: Check for valid

Shame on me
I have to apologize, indeed I had forgotten to include hmg.ch.
Now evrything is ok.
The 'syntax error'-message was misleading me, brought me on the wrong track.

Thank you for your changes of my code.

Re: Check for valid

Hi Serge, thx for your reply, I have a Main.prg with function main and a main window win_1 and a second window win_2 (not main). To keep the app more readable I decided to define any further window in separate prg-files outside the main.prg. But I get this syntax-error, though the only change of the...

Re: Check for valid

In the first post of this thread you find the source code of defining a window Form_1. To keep my growing app more readable I wanted to define this window in a separate prg-file, of course without function main. I removed ';' from line TITLE "Year/Month" ; and removed 'MAIN' of window definition. Th...
