Re: How to close SQLite Connection?

Hi Rathinagiri, I think your methods is really dangerous but I need more infos on the data in the database. If the database is "readonly", I mean just SELECTs and no INSERT or UPDATE, you just need to keep track of where the temporary db is stored so if the program/computer crashed, at the next run ...

Re: some issues about storing variable lenght fields...

Hi Francesco This is lower than the standard 512 bytes of DBT file... about 70000 records * (512-312) = 14 MB saved... ...are there other possible solution? Did you tried DBFFPT RDD ? No, I didn't. I'm still using plain DBFNTX... Does your method ( relating a second table ) is about first normaliza...

some issues about storing variable lenght fields...

In a text-mode form I have 4 lines of 78 chars. The lines are indipendent (created by 4 @ GET commands) but they contain one long text. It happens that when the user need to add a word in the first line and the text doesn't fit, it is truncated and must be repeated at the start of the next line... P...

Re: Harbour classes: Init() vs new() method

Nil is returned intentionally. This is the answer to your question. You returned NIL and valtype(NIL) is "U" Method init() is defined in the class so it is used the method in the class. New() is not defined in the class... all classes defined in harbour code "secretely" inherit from a base class th...

Is this an intended behaviour?

You use return NIL... try RETURN 1, or RETURN .F.

If you want to return the object, use RETURN Self

Re: DATEGET - new date only input class

Now the final touch: pressing F2 opens a calendar widget.... Hmmmm ..... I use F2 to fill input fields with the current date. The the user should assign a key of his choice for this function. Should that be set as global property at program start (for all DATEGET) or one definition per control? Cor...

Re: DATEGET - new date only input class

Good ! Now the final touch: pressing F2 opens a calendar widget.... Datepicker is great for getting dates because of it´s calender widget. But if you want to allow the user to leave date fields empty, datepicker is unuseful because it doesn´t allow empty dates. So I created this simple input class. ...

Re: "SET NAVIGATION EXTENDED" in HMG.4

I also agree with you as the platform GUI is so, but I think it would be a difference in our systems if we could make life easier for users of our systems. Rossine, it can surely be my fault, I can't see how you make their lives easier creating a non-standard gui... I can imagine a very specialized...

Re: "SET NAVIGATION EXTENDED" in HMG.4

Fifth: why do you want use a GUI program as a text-mode program ? Probably your users will be more confused using arrow keys/enter to move between GUI fields than the standard TAB key ! They will came after you asking that Word forms will act like your program.... on the contrary, I think that you ...

Re: Frame and editbox (possible corrections)

Hello Ricci, I use current version SVN and "tabstop .F." work´s now. I must have made some confusion here, but if I click on the title of the frame then yes it receives focus. One might not allow this too ? Best Regards, Rossine. in source/frame.prg add a remark in the setFocusPolicy line ::oQtFont...
